Services for Visitors

In addition to our primary mission of serving the members of the Rosen College of Hospitality Management and of the greater UCF community, we are also happy to provide some assistance to hospitality industry professionals, community members, and other visitors. Some of these services are summarized below.

If you have any questions regarding Universal Orlando Foundation Library's services or policies, please Ask a Rosen Librarian.

In-house Use of Universal Orlando Foundation Library Materials

You may come to the library and freely consult (and/or make photocopies of pages from) periodicals, circulating books, reference books, and most other types of materials. Note that some restrictions may apply, such as for items that an instructor has placed on reserve for a particular course.

Borrowing Privileges

We regret that we cannot extend borrowing privileges to visitors free of charge. For information about obtaining a borrowing card for a fee, please consult the Library Cards page available through UCF's Information Source website. Please note that this fee-based borrowing card primarily allows community patrons to borrow books from the Universal Orlando Foundation Library; other materials (such as audiovisual or multimedia items) may not be checked out with the fee-based card; please Ask a Rosen Librarian for more information.

Information Source

Information Source is a fee-based research and document delivery service. Information Source specializes in areas such as market research, competitive intelligence, and patent and trademark services. Information Source also offers a fee-based borrowing card to central Florida community patrons. Consult the Information Source website for additional information.

Research Assistance

We are happy to offer basic assistance in how to search our online catalog, in how to access some of our full-text electronic resources, and in how to get started on various kinds of research. Due to our mission to serve the students and faculty members of the Rosen College and of the greater UCF community, we regret that we are unable to perform in-depth research for visitors. For extensive research, or for those who are unable to visit the Universal Orlando Foundation Library in person, we suggest that you consider using UCF's Information Source service.
