In addition to rare book & manuscript collections, Special Collections is home to the
University Archives.
Because of their unique and sometimes fragile nature, Special Collections materials must be used in the
Special Collections Reading Room, they may not be checked out. Patrons are asked
to register and to use the materials with care. While most materials may be photocopied,
some materials may be too fragile for duplication.
Collections include the Bryant West Indies Collection, the Floridiana Collection, the Carey
Hand Funeral Home Records, the Wagar and Scott Simpkinson Space Collections, the Book Arts Collection
and many other other collections which support the teaching and research interests of the University
